About Me
Dr Andre Nortje obtained his M.B.Ch.B. from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003 and completed his internship in Pietermaritzburg the following year.
His passion for community wellbeing led him to complete his community service in Eshowe. He became a medical officer in 2006 at Groote Schuur Hospital in the departments of clinical haematology, cardiology, gastroenterology and medical emergencies. He also spent time at the High Care unit at Tygerberg Hospital.
Dr Nortje then became a registrar in internal medicine in 2008 and was registered as a specialist physician in 2012. He started his private practice as a physician at Mediclinic Milnerton in 2012 and has since been serving the community and expanding his patient base.
Dr Nortje takes great pride in his work and has a caring nature with meticulous attention to detail. He performs a thorough analysis on each patient, carefully considering every possible avenue and continues to keep up to date with the latest research.
He enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, has a love for music and finds relaxation in composing his own songs on his guitar. In his youth, he played in a band.
